2026-27 update: The EFA application window (March 9 – June 1, 2026) is now closed. Funded families receive four quarterly ClassWallet deposits between August 2026 and April 2027 — $1,802 per quarter for the 2026-27 school year, per SchoolChoiceAR. If you missed the window, late applications may be waitlisted or funded mid-year based on the handbook pattern. Already funded? Tutoring through Direct Pay means nothing out of pocket.

How it works

From funded EFA to weekly 1-on-1 tutoring in three steps.

1. Confirm your funding

Tutoring is a qualifying EFA expense under the LEARNS Act. If your child was awarded a 2026-27 EFA, your quarterly deposits land in ClassWallet — and they can pay for specialized tutoring support.

2. Match with a certified tutor

Start with a free consultation. We match your child with a certified special education tutor based on their learning profile — dyslexia, ADHD, autism, math, reading, executive function, and more.

3. Pay through ClassWallet

We invoice through ClassWallet Direct Pay. You upload the invoice, and once approved, payment goes straight from EFA funds to us — nothing out of pocket for your family.

Common questions

Arkansas EFA questions families ask first

Can Arkansas EFA funds be used for tutoring?
Yes. The LEARNS Act lists "instructional or tutoring services" as a qualifying EFA expense, and the ADE family handbook lists tutoring services from an approved tutor or learning center. Students with disabilities can also use funds for specialized educational services from licensed or approved providers.
How much is the Arkansas EFA award for 2026-27?
For the 2026-27 school year, SchoolChoiceAR reports the award at $7,208, deposited in quarterly installments of $1,802; former Succeed Scholarship students receive $8,162. ADE had not yet published its official 2026-27 handbook as of July 2026, so confirm final figures against ADE materials when they post.
Will I pay anything out of pocket for EFA tutoring?
Not when you use ClassWallet Direct Pay with an approved provider. We send an invoice, you upload it in Direct Pay, and once approved, payment goes straight from your child’s EFA funds to us. Reimbursement exists as a fallback, but Direct Pay means you never front the money.
Can I still apply for a 2026-27 EFA?
The 2026-27 application window ran March 9 through June 1, 2026 and is now closed. Based on the handbook pattern, late applications may be waitlisted or funded mid-year. The 2027-28 window has not been announced; based on the 2026-27 pattern, expect an early-spring opening on the state’s FACTS portal at arkansasefa.com.
